It's November! Which means that it's time to request the disclosure document for your LPO.LPOs are considered franchises under the Franchising Code of Conduct. POAAL played a significant role in the formulation of the Code in the late 1990s. POAAL then lobbied for LPOs to be covered by the Code, giving Licensees an added level of protection. Each year, Australia Post is obliged under the Code to prepare a disclosure document for every LPO.The disclosure document must be updated annually, within four months of the end of the financial year. This means that Australia Post must have an up-to-date disclosure document prepared for each LPO by 31 October each year. You should request a disclosure document for your LPO from Australia Post every year.POAAL has prepared a pro forma letter for you to use.Click here to download the pro forma letter.
