The world's largest letterbox[/caption]A town in Illinois, USA, has built the world’s largest letterbox.It was built recently on Main Street in Casey (approximate population: 2,700). The box measures 154 cubic metres, setting a mark recognized by Guinness World Records.The letterbox is also functional — customers can mail cards and letters from it.The rural style box sits on a wooden structure that resembles a mailbox post. A tube carries the letters from the top of the box to a ground-level point where Postal Service carriers can collect the deposited mail.The mega-sized mailbox also will house a Post Office museum.Guinness’s previous record holder was a Japanese collection box that measured 68 cubic metres.[caption id="attachment_6789" align="aligncenter" width="398"]
