The guest speaker was POAAL’s NSW Branch Chairman Bob Chizzoniti who led a passionate and interesting session on future trends in the postal business world-wide. He touched on topics including the impact of technology on the postal business, the continuing decrease in letter mail and its flow-on to fewer stamp sales, privatisation in the postal industry in other countries and how it might impact on Australian postal services if introduced in Australia.Licensees discussed some of the current issues affecting Tasmanian LPOs. Bob also explained some of the finer points of LiPOMS.All present noted changes which had impacted on their business and spoke of ways in which they are trying to address the changing face of small business as customers convert to online transactions and email.
