Security checks for subbies and employees

POAAL wrote to Australia Post regarding the slow turnaround for security checks for subcontractors and employees. Contractors had complained to POAAL that AP was taking longer than usual to process security checks for prospective subbies and staff, which in some cases resulted in those prospective subbies/staff finding employment elsewhere rather than waiting for the security check to be completed.AP has responded to POAAL, noting that it was aware of some delays but that in its opinion there were now no delays to security checks.AP has also stated that where security checks are subject to an undue delay it would allow the subbie/employee to commence pending the completed security check.
