Bruce Billson, the Federal Minister for Small Business, officially opened the newly redeveloped Tahmoor LPO yesterday.Licensee Phil Magennis took over the LPO a few years ago with a vision to grow the post office to become a major service provider to the Tahmoor area. Tahmoor has been earmarked as a future growth area, with plans for a few thousand new homes to be built and the shopping centre currently undergoing redevelopment.[caption id="attachment_6589" align="aligncenter" width="350"]

He has expanded the core post office business and also expanded the number of PO Boxes to meet the future growth. This plan was also agreed to in consultation with NSW Australia Post management.The opening of the new Tahmoor post office took place on 9 June and was attended by senior NSW Australia Post management, including State Manager Stephen Price, State LPO Manager Corinne Jackson and local Area Manager K Ferry. POAAL NSW/ACT Branch Chairman Bob Chizzoniti attended representing POAAL.
