Postie killed by her own vehicle

A postie working in North Carolina, in the USA, was killed when she tried to stop her vehicle from rolling backwards, reports the newspaper The Charlotte Observer.The 69-year-old was killed when her mail vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, ran over her. She had parked to deliver a certified item, requiring a signature, but when she left the vehicle it wasn't in gear and started rolling backwards down the sloping road.The postie tried to stop the rolling vehicle, but was struck by the door and went under the front wheels. The vehicle continued to roll, skinning an apple tree, clipping another tree and knocking over two mail boxes.
