There are still about 400 LPOs that do not have access to Australia Post's EPOS network. POAAL is keen to see Australia Post's electronic network extended to all LPOs, including those that are currently manual. To this end, POAAL is lobbying federal politicians in the lead-up to the next federal election.POAAL also gave Senator Birmingham a detailed briefing of the impact of e-commerce on LPOs and Mail & Parcel Contractors., as well as outlining some future business opportunities for the LPO network.
