POAAL meets with NSW Small Business Commissioner

Today POAAL’s Bob Chizzoniti met with NSW Small Business Commissioner Chris Lamont.

Licensed Post Offices (LPOs) are small businesses, and there are hundreds of LPOs located in metropolitan and regional NSW. Many are operated in-conjunction with other small businesses, such as general stores, pharmacies, and newsagencies.

It was valuable to meet with the Commissioner to discuss some of the services available to small business owners in NSW, such as assisting with dispute resolution and retail tenancy issues.

POAAL also took the opportunity to promote the ways in which LPOs can assist other small businesses.

LPOs are well positioned to provide services other small businesses, especially small businesses that sell online such as eBay sellers, start-ups, and small online retailers. POAAL wants to see more SMEs encouraged to use their local LPOs as their main point of contact for accessing Australia Post’s services.
