Australia Post has advised that there is a discrepancy between the number of PO Box reactivations claimed for Licensees for the period April 2015 to July 2015 and the actual number subsequently identified through system interrogation. As a result, a number of Licensees have been underpaid by Australia Post. The underpayment will be corrected in the August payment. The underpayment has arisen due to low initial reactivations combined with the changed timelines and conditions for invoicing this year.Australia Post has assured POAAL that the new PO Box system includes reporting measures that should mean that this error should not occur again. POAAL hopes that this is true, however every new version of the PO Box management system over the years has brought new problems to be solved.Any Licensee that may experience financial hardship as a result of this discrepancy should contact their Network or Area Manager.
