Licensees and Contractors gathered in Perth to hear a diverse group of speakers at POAAL's Business Seminar. The topics included employee relations and management, increasing business levels, risk management and finance. WA Branch Chairman John Fisher also gave an impassioned update on issues affecting LPOs in WA.David Bates from Workforce Guardian frightened the pants off Licensees with the penalties that exist for breaches of workplace regulations. Thankfully, David gave us some strategies on how to protect our business from these risks. Every Licensee who employees staff should do their homework before engaging staff.GWS Network spoke on risk management options available to Licensees, especially with regard to employment practices issues.Experienced Licensee Tony Brandi closed the Seminar with a dynamic presentation on business opportunities for LPOs. It was great to have an enthusiastic Licensee inspiring us as to how we could improve our businesses. We ended on a high - Tony's presentation left us with many suggestions on how to increase our business levels.Ed Quick from Aviva gave away some samples of Siconi products, and there was a display from Fotolusio.
