Parcel volumes during Christmas period

FedEx has announced that it expects record parcel volumes in the lead-up to Christmas this year.At its peak, which is expected to be 12 December, FedEx has predicted that it will handle about 8.5 million articles in the USA. This is about 40% more than its average daily volume.The increase in volume is in part due to an expected increase in online purchasing.FedEx also expects that its website will process about 3.5 million online tracking requests per day during the peak period.
