Australia Post's Vic/Tas Regional Manager Retail Services, Roger Revere, was the guest speaker at a POAAL meeting held in Melbourne in June.Roger gave an overview of the current state of the postal market. Customers have more choice in how they communicate than ever before, and competition in the parcels market is intense. This choice and competition means that Australia Post needs to grow and change, building on its strong network.Roger also covered some of the opportunities for Australia Post in sectors such as ID and travel services.Australia Post's Barbara Young was also present, and she gave an update on current matters such as EPOS hardware upgrades, online ordering of stock and consumables, community grants and security.[caption id="attachment_5789" align="alignnone" width="398"]
