Meeting with Shadow Minister David Coleman

POAAL’s Bob Chizzoniti met with David Coleman MP, the Shadow Minister for Communications.

The Shadow Minister has a good understanding of the postal sector, and asked many questions about post offices, letter volumes, and parcel delivery.

Some of the topics discussed during the meeting included:

• The need to maintain delivery standards for Express Post and PO Boxes
• Australia Post’s current "Voluntary Licence Handback Program" for selected metro LPOs
• Parcel delivery
• The importance of post office security
• Global trends in letter delivery and post office networks
