Meeting with Senator Ryan

[/caption]POAAL recently met with Senator Scott Ryan, the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business. One of the main points discussed was the continuing growth of e-commerce and the effect this is having on the LPO network. Senator Ryan has a solid understanding of the practical implications for LPOs of the growth in e-commerce.Other issues discussed included:

• Transfer of business from LPOs to corporate outlets
• Staffing issues relating to small businesses
• Delivering government services through the post office network
