There was a bomb scare at a mail centre in Edinburgh when two packages were found to contain hand grenades.The contents were discovered while screening mail to be transported by air for delivery in England, Wales and overseas.Royal Mail's security procedures swung into place and the packages were placed in a secure area for the protection of staff.The Army's bomb squad identified the grenades as being Second World War grenades that did not contain explosives. The grenades were part of a war memorabilia collection.
