Federal election: ALP postal policy

The ALP has written to POAAL, formally responding regarding its postal policy. The ALP has confirmed that it does not support the privatisation of Australia Post. The ALP has also committed to seeking to increase the role of Australia Post in delivering government services.With regard to the provision of EPOS to manual LPOs - particularly in rural areas - and fuel tax credits for Contractors serving rural areas, the ALP has indicated that it is open to discussing these matters should it be re-elected.POAAL has now received formal responses from the ALP, Coalition, Nationals and Australian Greens regarding their postal policies.
