DHL Express using electric vans in Italy

One of DHL Express's new Nissan e-NV200 electric vans in Milan[/caption]New Nissan e-NV200 electric vans will be used by DHL Express in Italy. The first vans will be used in Milan and Rome.

The vans have a range of up to 160km. DHL Express had tested the van over a typical duty cycle, completing 45 deliveries and 25 collections on a simulated route of about 120km around Rome.After Milan and Rome, the electric vans will be deployed in Florence, Verona, Bologna, Naples, Salerno, Bari and Catania.Deutsche Post DHL (the parent company of DHL Express) is aiming to lower the group’s worldwide CO2 emissions by 30% by 2020.Electric vans are also suitable for many European city centres, which have restrictions on entry of diesel-powered vehicles.
