Deutsche Post: Asterix and Obelix stamps

In September Deutsche Post, the German postal operator, launched a special series of stamps featuring the comic book heroes Asterix and Obelix.The first Asterix comic appeared on 29 October 1959, with the first book, Asterix the Gaul, published in 1961. The books have been translated into 110 languages. To date, over 360 million have been sold.A new book is due out on 22 October 2015.The stamps can be bought from Deutsche Post's philatelic website.
