Delivery to your car

In 2013 Volvo trialled new technology that allowed delivery companies to deliver parcels to customers cars.Now DHL Parcel, Amazon and Audi have announced a new pilot project in Germany along the same lines.Using a specially developed smart phone app, the DHL driver receives the exact location of the car as well as access to the vehicle's trunk.After the delivery item has been put in the car boot and the boot cloased, the car then locks automatically. DHL receives confirmation via the app and the car owner is informed of the successful delivery via email.
