Danish Post orders electric vans

Post Danmark, part of Scandinavian operator PostNord, has purchased 30 Mercedes-Benz Vito E-Cell vehicles as part of its programme aiming to cut its environmental impact.[caption id="attachment_5668" align="aligncenter" width="398"]

Post Danmark already has 1,800 electric bicycles and scooters.The investment in electric vehicles follows a pilot project on the island of Bornholm. Results from the pilot project show that the vehicles have a range on a single charge capable of performing an average 60km postal route.The Vito E-Cell is the electric version of the Mercedes Benz Vito van.
