Cairns Licensee meeting report

POAAL's Bob Chizzoniti with some of the Licensees at the POAAL meeting in Cairns[/caption]POAAL's Bob Chizzoniti was the special guest speaker at the POAAL Licensee meeting in Cairns last Sunday.POAAL Queensland Branch Chairman Jenny Patroni hosted the meeting, and welcomed Licensees from around the Cairns region.Licensees enjoyed a lunch together, and the chance to talk about what's important to them.Bob led the discussion, filling in Licensees on how domestic and global trends are affecting the Australian postal sector. Some of the key topics discussed included:

• POMS, including GST and BAS
• the PO Box system
• future direction of Australia Post
• barcode scanning procedures
• compliance, including paying staff the correct awards rates
• ordering stock from Australia Post

There were two new products on display as well.
