Australia Post has announced its half-year results for the2020/21 financial year.
Group revenue was $4.3 billion, up 15.5% year-on-year. Groupprofit before tax was $166.6 million, including letter losses of $74.2 million.
Parcels and Services revenue was up 25.9% to $3,403 million,while letter revenue was down 11.0%.
Australia Post reported over 107 million customers visitedthe post office network (including LPOs and corporates) during the first half,with 23.7 million visits alone in December 2020.
The ongoing and extraordinary growth in parcel volumesstimulated by the pandemic put pressure on the post office and deliverynetworks, and Licensees and Delivery Contractor members rose to the challenge.
