Australia Post does deal with Aramex

Australia Post will form a strategic alliance with Dubai-based Aramex[/caption]Australia Post has agreed to form a strategic alliance with Dubai-based global parcel and logistics firm Aramex. The joint venture will target the global e-commerce market, with a particular focus on Asia.Australia Post hopes that the agreement will help grow its share of the Australian e-commerce market, including international parcels.Aramex has a strong focus on South East Asia and India. Aramex acquired Fastway Couriers in January.Inbound international parcels generated by the Aramex/Australia Post joint venture will be delivered by Australia Post.Under the deal, Australia Post will acquire Australian courier company Mail Call from Aramex. This will become part of the Star Track Courier network.The deal is expected to be completed later this year.
