Australia Post announces half-year 2020-21 results

Australia Post has announced its half-year results for the2020/21 financial year.

Group revenue was $4.3 billion, up 15.5% year-on-year. Groupprofit before tax was $166.6 million, including letter losses of $74.2 million.

Parcels and Services revenue was up 25.9% to $3,403 million,while letter revenue was down 11.0%.

The ongoing and extraordinary growth in parcel volumes stimulated by the pandemic put pressure on the post office and delivery networks, and Delivery Contractor members rose to the challenge.
