POAAL has been advised that replies have been received from Australia Post to questions which were posed about delivery contractor issues during the May Senate Estimates question period.
Among responses given on the day by Australia Post were:- AP does not plan to introduce incentives to encourage Contractors to reduce their greenhouse impact
- AP is unaware of any instances where a Contractor failed to apply for a price rise or variation (regarding fuel prices) because he or she was not aware of movement in fuel price.
- AP will only give Contractors a fuel price increase on the basis of movement in the wholesale price of fuel as advised.
- AP will share with contractors the information it collects on the movement of wholesale price of petrol upon request.
