The ACCC has today announced that it will not object to Australia Post's proposed postage price increase, including lifting the BPR from 55 to 60 cents. This is great news for Licensees. POAAL worked hard to support this increase - including making two submissions to the ACCC in support of the postage increase. The increase in postage will result in increases to a number of LPO mail-related payments. The price rises in letter services are proposed to take effect from 28 June 2010 and will apply to Small, Large and PreSort letter services.Licensees should check LiPOMS from July onwards to ensure that all increases are passed on.The ACCC's decision in full is available from the ACCC website.
