A large group of Licensees and Contractors from all States met in Auckland, New Zealand for a POAAL National Conference. It was clear from the Welcome Reception function on the Friday night that this would be a very friendly conference, with a mix of business-centric and social functions.The weekend kicked off with a relaxed Welcome Reception held overlooking the city of Auckland. It was an opportunity for delegates to see old friends and make new ones. The noise level rose as more and more people arrived to sample the delicious hors d’oevres and local beverages.[caption id="attachment_4984" align="alignleft" width="398" caption="Delegates ready to board one of the buses for site visits"]
[/caption]One of the highlights of the Saturday sessions were site visits to local post offices, both corporate and franchised post shops.The high point of every POAAL Conference is the Conference Dinner. Drinks were generously sponsored by Juen Phie from The LPO Advisor. The food – and the service – was excellent. Then, of course, delegates hit the dance floor, and danced well into the night.Our Conference Exhibitors entered into the swing of the Conference and joined in the social life too.Many delegates added a day or two onto their stay in Auckland, and did some touring around the North Island. It was a great time, and many friendships were forged.
