AUSTRAC fees update
Posted: June 10, 2010 at 7:24 pm
Yesterday POAAL’s CEO met with an advisor to the Minister for Home Affairs to discuss the proposed fees to be charged to Licensees by AUSTRAC.
POAAL argued strongly against the introduction of any fees, noting that it is unjust for the Government to charge Licensees for doing work for AUSTRAC.
The forcefulness of Licensees’ opposition to the proposed fees has been noted by the Minister’s office.
POAAL will be meeting with senior AUSTRAC representatives tomorrow, Friday 11 June, for further discussions on this matter.
